【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestestmethodsforthedeterminationofthewaterabsorptionofceramicarticles.Threetestmethodsaredescribed:-testmethodA,basedontheincreaseinmassoftestspecimensafterimmersioninboilingwaterunderdefinedconditions,whichrequirestestspecimenswithnotmorethanoneglazedsurface;-testmethodB,basedonthesameprincipleandgeneralprocedureasmethodAbutwithalongerperiodofimmersioninboilingwater;-testmethodC,basedontheincreaseinmassoftestspecimensafteracombinationofevacuationofthetestspecimenstoassistwaterpenetration,followedbyimmersioninwaterandboiling;thetestspecimensmaybeglazedonbothsurfacesandaretakenfromdifferentpartsofaceramicarticletoincludepossibleinhomogeneitiesofthearticle.NOTEValuesofverylowwaterabsorptionshouldpreferablybedeterminedbytestmethodC.
